The AI Assistant is included. You choose when it is on.
It is on every plan, including free Starter, and it stays off until you enable it for a class. Parents only see their own child. Other tutors never see your students or questions.
AI Assistant
All plansParents ask what was covered, what is due, and when the next lesson is. Answers come from the records you already keep. You pick the AI provider, add your own key, turn it on per class, and set a monthly spend cap. That bill goes to the AI provider, not to Studoo.
What it will not answer
All plansIt will not give grades or marks, talk about payments, open another student’s records, list a whole group, or reveal test questions and answers. It also cannot change anything in your account. Those limits are in the product, not only in the wording of the prompt.
Children's data & UK GDPR
All plansAnother tutor cannot see your groups, students or questions, and each family only sees their own child. You accept the data terms in the product, AI keys are stored encrypted, and questions you write stay in your bank or your centre’s bank.

Why tutors move their practice onto Studoo
Most tuition admin is not the teaching — it is the evidence and coordination around it. Marks in a spreadsheet, plans in a document, the same parent questions every week on WhatsApp, and progress held in your head. That work gets harder the moment you take on a second group.

- How much does Studoo cost for tutors?
- Starter is free for one tutor and 10 students. It includes groups, lesson Replay, an AI Assistant for parent queries, and a sample of the question bank. Pro is £79/month and adds the full bank, mock test management and insight for every student, with extra students at £3 each per month. Centre is £149/month for a team: 3 tutor logins and 100 students, then £20 per extra tutor and £1.50 per extra student. Pro and Centre include a 14-day trial before the first charge.
- What is the difference between Starter and Pro?
- Starter is enough to run groups, timetables, registers, lesson Replay and the parent portal, with five marked homework tasks a month and full insight for 2 students. Pro removes those limits: the full question bank, marking on every homework task, mock test management, your own questions, and insight for every student. You can also add students beyond the included 40, at £3 each per month.
- How many students can I teach on each plan?
- Starter includes 10 active students, and you cannot add more. Pro includes 40, then £3 per extra student per month. Centre includes 100, then £1.50 per extra student per month. A student who leaves a group frees their place.
- Do I need a separate subscription for each tutor in my centre?
- No. Centre at £149 per month includes 3 tutor logins under one organisation. Each tutor has their own groups and timetables. Extra tutor logins are £20 per tutor per month. Starter and Pro are for one tutor.
- Is the 14-day tutor trial really free?
- Starter does not need a card. Pro and Centre ask for a card in Stripe Checkout, but you are not charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime from the billing portal. There is no setup fee and no notice period.
- Is there a discount for paying annually?
- Yes, on Pro and Centre. Annual billing charges 10 months for 12, so you get 2 months free: Pro is £790 a year and Centre is £1,490. That works out at roughly £65.83 and £124.17 per month. Starter stays free and has no annual bill. Extra student and tutor seats are billed monthly on top.
- Do I pay extra for the AI Assistant or Lesson Replay?
- No. Both are on every plan, including free Starter. Lesson Replay is a recording and method sheet you publish to a class. The AI Assistant answers parent queries from your records. It stays off until you turn it on for a class. You bring your own AI key and set a monthly spend cap, so you pay the AI provider directly. That cost is not added to your Studoo bill.
- Which subjects are covered for tutors?
- Maths practice (3,000+ questions) and English are live now, for one-to-one and group lessons. Further subjects are on the roadmap.
- Can parents and students see what I set?
- Yes. Students in your groups, and their parents, get a login that shows the lesson plan, the timetable, homework, mock results and progress. Each family only sees their own child. Other tutors cannot see your groups, students or questions.
